Hey there, fellow Gilmore Girls fans and wedding enthusiasts! If you're like me, You've probably fallen in love with the charming town of Stars Hollow. Well, grab your coffee and get ready, because I've got a treat for you! I've put together a list of some of the best wedding venues in Colorado, and also compared them to their Stars Hollow counterparts. You'll see how these locations could be used for inspiration when planning your own Gilmore Girls-themed wedding!
Tapestry House as Lorelai and Rory Gilmore's Stars Hollow Home
If you've ever dreamt of living in Lorelai and Rory Gilmore's quirky and cozy house, then the Tapestry House will certainly steal your heart. Nestled amidst towering trees, this Northern Colorado wedding venue exudes that same cozy and welcoming vibe that made Lorelai's house feel like home. Imagine exchanging vows surrounded by lush gardens and Victorian architecture, just like Lorelai and Rory's iconic Stars Hollow home. Watch out for Babette, as she tends to come over unannounced!
Grant Humphrey's Mansion as Richard and Emily's Hartford Residence
For those who yearn for the sophistication and grandeur of Richard and Emily Gilmore's Hartford residence, Grant Humphrey's Mansion is the perfect match. This historic mansion is filled with exquisite interiors, breathtaking gardens, and a timeless charm that will leave you feeling like you're stepping into the world of the Gilmores. From lavish weddings to intimate gatherings, this venue will make you feel like a true queen (or king) of society. Remember to place the candle holders at least six inches apart, or Emily Gilmore will surely notice.
Ivywild School as Stars Hollow High
Stars Hollow High School holds a special place in my heart, and if you're looking for a wedding venue that carries the same nostalgic charm, look no further than Ivywild School. Revitalized from a historic school building, this venue offers a unique blend of vintage and contemporary elements. Imagine saying "I do" in a beautifully restored auditorium, with pictures of Luke "Butch" Danes from his baseball days just outside the door.
Bread Bar as Black White and Read Bookstore
The Black White & Read Bookstore was one of my favorite locations in Gilmore Girls! How can we forget Lane's awkward double date with Dean's friend Todd? You'll adore the resemblance it shares with Bread Bar in Silver Plume. This intimate venue is housed in a historic building transformed into a rustic space. Make sure Kirk isn't around to get into any movie-related mischief or make out with Lulu in one of the couches!
Woodlands as Ms. Patty's Dance Studio
Remember Ms. Patty's dance studio? Well, imagine a larger version of that charming haven. Woodlands, located in Morrison, will immerse you in a world of nature and wonder. Surrounded by towering trees and lush greenery, this venue captures the essence of Star Hollow's small-town charm, where fairy lights dance and laughter fills the air. Celebrate your love on a dance floor that would make even Ms. Patty proud!
Highlands Ranch Mansion as Chilton
If you've always dreamt of attending Chilton or wished you could have experienced the grandeur of that prestigious institution, Highlands Ranch Mansion in Colorado will transport you to that world of timeless elegance. With majestic architecture, sprawling gardens, and a touch of old-world charm, this venue is the epitome of sophistication. As you walk down the aisle, you'll feel like you're stepping into a scene straight out of the halls of Chilton. Since Highlands Ranch Mansion is located in Colorado, antler prints on the side of your mother's car isn't all that uncommon!

While I've never seen Gilmore Girls, I have to say these locations look wonderful! The Tapestry looks like a yummy gingerbread house and I would absolutely love to actually live in Grant Humphrys mansion. Colorado has some beautiful locations for weddings, for sure!
What a delightful read! As an avid Gilmore Girls fan, this post was a sheer treat. The seamless juxtaposition of the idyllic Stars Hollow universe with these stunning Colorado wedding venues truly spoke to my heart. Your knack for drawing parallels between the venues and the beloved show locations was spot on and so vividly painted that I could almost hear the show's theme song playing in my head! Your imaginative take on combining fictional nostalgia with real-life romance is both unique and heartwarming. The thought of tying the knot at a place reminiscent of the Gilmore world? Absolute perfection! You've certainly given all of us Gilmore Girls enthusiasts a treasure trove of ideas for a dream wedding. Keep these…
I remember bingeing Gilmore Girls on Saturdays with my sister. I can definitely understand wanting to have your special day collide with a show that's important to you. And these venues are not only special and stunning in their own way, but also serve the dual purpose of connecting to the said show.
Huge Gilmore Girls fan here, I grew up with the series and over the five or so years I went through it two more times. And chances are I will do the same every couple of years or so, best nostalgia. My husband knows my morning mantra “Coffee, please, and a shot of cynicism.” Dream location for sure, especially during spring or summer.
I was late to the Gilmore Girls obsession but did end up watching all of it and the town it takes place in, I just love it. I love how close everyone is and how beautiful the buildings and parks are. Never would have considered to pull wedding inspiration from the show but I can totally see it! Especially for the fall and winter season weddings. Such a brilliant idea!
