About the Wedding Day
Katie and Cody's wedding day at the Washington Park Boathouse was a celebration that will be remembered for years to come. The day started out with Katie getting ready while I took pictures of their wedding details. The bride and groom shared a private moment together during their First Look. They were joined by their two great dane dogs—the small details that gave their wedding its special character. I was delighted to photograph their wedding, as the couple said their vows in a beautiful garden called The Big Garden. It provided a nice backdrop for their ceremony. Cody even had his bike team make an appearance! Their wedding was filled with stunning details, from the rustic arch adorned with delicate lanterns to the bird's nest showcased inside the Washington Park Boathouse. As the sun began to set, the newlyweds took golden hour photos, a true highlight of the day. Congratulations Katie and Cody, and thank you for allowing me to capture the magic of your special day!

I'm so glad that Katie and Cody were able to have their wedding without breaking the bank. It's proof that you don't need to spend a lot of money to have a beautiful wedding. All you need is a little creativity and a lot of love. I love how they create such a beautiful and elegant wedding on a budget. The photos make it look like they spent a fortune, but I know that's not the case. I can say that Washington Park Boathouse is a hidden gem that offers an affordable yet charming wedding venue in Denver. With its versatile space, convenient location, beautiful surroundings, and budget-friendly options, it is the perfect choice for couples who want to celebrate…
What a special place for a wedding! The flowers, nature and the water are gorgeous. I love that the couple included their "family." Those doggos are the best:)
What a delightful recount of Katie and Cody's magical day at the Washington Park Boathouse! I've always admired the innate charm and beauty this venue has to offer, but reading about it in context with a real wedding truly brings its allure to life. The fact that it’s budget-friendly while maintaining an aura of timeless elegance is a testament to how special the place is. The picturesque blend of vibrant blossoms, rustic architecture, and the shimmering Smith Lake make it an ideal setting for any couple to tie the knot. What stood out to me most, however, was how the photographer managed to intertwine the venue's aesthetics with the couple's authentic love story, from the presence of their great dane…
The Washington Park Boathouse offers several options on how to custom-tailor your special day via their assortment of venues to choose from. In this case, I think Katie and Cody chose well. Their wedding is definitely envy-worthy. Their precious day has been immortalised in these lovely photos. And that their furbabies got to share the occasion and are in the photos too is just priceless.
You gotta love it when a cute doggo - or two in this case - pops his face in a shot haha. I’m a sucker for simple, laid back weddings, weddings where the bride is as far away from bridezilla as possible, weddings where people enjoy themselves. Nowadays it seems people seem to go a lot for trendy, insta-worthy weddings, where everything is made to gather likes and shares but for the wrong reasons. One of my faves from you!
