E and A knew each other for four years as friends before their relationship evolved to the next level. Meeting in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia through Tinder. Although the relationship didn’t start off right then and there, E and A remained friends for four years! While E stayed in Malaysia to study, eventually moving to the UK, A went back to the U.S. to also finish his studies. Four years later, after a long-distance friendship withheld over social media, A finally admitted his hidden feelings and like he says — the rest is history!
Although A was nervous about his proposal, he set up an incredibly romantic at one of his favorites restaurants Matsuhisa and Nobu. It was the perfect spot seeing as E had never tasted Chef Matsuhisa’s cooking before. The mix of the new experience for E and the familiarity for A was the perfect mix of what walking into a marriage is — going into unknown and new territories with someone that feels so familiar, you can’t help but feel like you’re home. A had the managers record the whole thing and when the flowers were brought out, he got down on one knee, and their journey as an engaged couple began.
